Tripwires

Tripwires are a new kind of switch. You place two hooks and connect them with string. If the string is broken without using sheers, it will activate the hook, like a button, pressure plate, or lever.

I've been thinking that there has to be a good way to implement tripwires into amusement part rides as triggers, but I haven't come up with anything yet. I suppose the only difference between using that and a detector rail is that a tripwire would be a one time use.

Yeah.  Tripwires are probably for more surprising or practical use.  Like blowing up enemies.
LOL @ Pam... if I had $20 for every time someone used that word with me... well....

I'd probably have like $60

I was hoping to use the wire between hooks as decoration, assuming it would look like the black line from fishing poles, but no. It's practically invisible. Boo.

You could always redesign the tripwire texture. But then it would make tripwires too easy to see.
