We're getting witches, a potion wielding mob. It will also drop said potions as loot. I like the organic way of persuading us to use new features.

I feel like I’m still playing catch-up. I have barely engaged in enchantment, not at all in potion-making. I’ve lagged so far behind now. I don’t reject the new features on purpose—it’s just that I’m still having so much darn fun mining and crafting!

Yeah, I've never done anything with potions. I think this is a good way to get potions into the hands of people like us though. I feel like these guys are masters at integrating features organically.

I’m not sure they’re doing it on purpose. Or thinking about it that way, at least, but you’re right. They probably just thinkg, “we’ve got potions in the game now. It’s a bit weird if we don’t have a mob that can use them. Witches!”

I read a speculation that they'd spawn in swamp biomes with little witch huts.

Ah, so much Minecraft I have yet to experience...

You will, but you don't have to to enjoy it. That's the beauty of minecraft.

I preferred the days when I was the boss of Minecraft. I was among the first to find new things, or try new things, or travel far and do craziness. Now I'm obsolete. I have to come back and outdo my old self.

I still haven't seen one. Though when I stopped playing I was pretty near spawn most of the time.
