I tried to donate but I didn't do it right.  I couldn't find a donate button so I registered an account and then I seem to have requested joining your WePay account.  I don't think that's how it was supposed to happen.

I honestly don't know. He set up that same thing to split house bills, but I never signed up. I think it's just a way to transfer money between people without using Paypal. So it's not going to have the same bells a whistles. I'll ask him exactly how to do it the next time I talk to him.

Should we have a rule on pixel art? I'm mostly against telling other people what they can and cannot do, but I've been looking on that site for the maps, and there are beautiful maps ruined, in my opinion, by pixel art.

Sounds fine.  I don't think it'd fit into our world, anyway.  We seem to have a more form-follows-function type of world.  I started a temple, so you built a road out there; the temple's waterfalls actually function as a part of their design (i.e. it's not forced to look that way despite Minecraft's physics); you built spawn as a safehaven; it has a roof, waterways, and now a big damn heap of helpfulness (like, supermansion) beneath it.

I wouldn't be against hot-air balloons or other 3D artiness like that.  Preferably built as far away from the ground as possible, so as to give the feeling of depth.

I guess that's why I'd propose a rule. Or maybe more of a discouragement. Because it wouldn't fit. Again, I don't want to tell people what they can and can't do, but I also don't want to be looking at the beautiful temple and see a giant Megaman shooting at Mario in the background.

I just bought out the account from my roommate and reimbursed him most of the money for hosting it for us for this long.

Donations can now be made straight through the server provider. They go straight to the server, not through me. Donations are accepted, but not required or even encouraged. Seriously, it's like $5 a month. Don't get crazy.

Apparently there's a bug in this release were mobs can push you into walls and you take suffocation damage. Stay away from villagers for a few days until they fix it, I guess.

Ahhh. Stupid Minecraft forums. I forgot my password, but it was in the intervening time when they switched to Curse, so when I tried to use the "I forgot my password" option, it just says it doesn't know who the heck I am, but when I try to re-register my name, it says it's already registered.

It's so very rarely worth it anyway. 90% of the threads are "I don't like the terrain in a game all about altering the terrain as I see fit", and "I don't like this feature that if I just ignore I would never knew existed anyway". I spent $10 on a Nash Rambler and got a bitchin' Jaguar. I can't imagine complaining that the cup holders are the wrong color.

No. The hosting software. There used to be a link that would tell you if the server was up, how many people were one, etc...

It was fairly worthless, but still kind of neat.

Nope. We were current until today's update. I've been watching the forums, and there have been a smattering of reports of glitches. Usually they release a patch a week or so after each big release. I vote on waiting for that unless anyone is really itching to get at 1.4.

The most common bug I'm seeing right now is reports of The End crashing the game. Something about the achievements or something.

But every time I log on, it asks me if I want to update. I click "Not Now" and then continue to play on our server. Doesn't that mean we weren't using the latest version prior to 1.4?

Yeah, major broke. I logged on to realise that I wasn't in the right location and was carrying nothing (I would never log off without supplies in the middle of a jungle.) I tried to set Creative mode upon myself so I could see what was going on, and didn't have that permission either.

Instead, since I was not far from X:0, Z:0, I decided to walk to spawn. Yeah, the world is nothing like what it used to be. Just nothing built.

I can only assume the IP is pointed at the wrong server and you guys are logging onto a different server when you click on ours. (I haven't had a chance to see for myself yet.) I put a ticket in, so we'll see what they say.

I do have a backup just prior to updating the server.
