Pumpkins are already used to hide you from endermen, construct light sources that work underwater, and to create snow and iron golems.

Now they'll be food too. We' be able to make pumpkin pies.

I think it might be the most versatile block now.

Yeah, that was the other reason I was growing so many at that other base. To have a supply for The End.

I'm also thinking that I should use them to light the canals on the road. I used up all of the glowstone. Pumpkins would be way cheaper.

Yes, please. Glowstone is more elegant-looking. Pumpkins can be grown. Glowstone is finite, yeah? Or have I forgotten some way to garner glowstone without mining it from Nether ceilings?

No. Only off of the ceilings, and I've cleared out most of the glowstone near 0,0.

I'll go with jack-o-lanterns going forward and eventually replace the glowstone.
