Hey there.
Not exactly new to lankyland, but probably the first time i've ever posted.....as far as i can remember.

Anyway, just saying Hi, and that i'm going to be on the minecraft server quite frequently. I have big plans, as i always seem to. We'll see if they pan out.

Also if that testing area i saw another thread about exists, i have many contraptions to put there to help everybody.

Hey man. Welcome. Pianoman and I were at one time on quite often. We've both been playing a lot less lately. The interest is still there though. I'm sure we're very susceptible to being drawn back in.

The server does weird stuff sometimes and there seems to be some issues with our map. It might be worth not going straight south of spawn? I don't actually know it that's what causes it to crash. Normally I'd encourage you to post in this section if it goes down, but I'll be out of town for the next couple of weeks and with any luck, off the grid. I'll see if I can get hold of Pianoman and give him a crash course on resetting the server before I leave.

Indeed, I would be playing Minecraft this very minute were it not for my computer. My previous laptop died, and I purchased a cheapy desktop to tide me over until some time as I have a playable computer. Sorry :\

I've been lurking since 2008, and i've known lanky even longer than that.

I'd appreciate it if the server was kept up, i'm finding renewed interest in minecraft =)

MInecraft has a strange magic about it... it's easy to jump back in.. it's easy to rest from it... for probably as long as discovery is exciting. Which will be always. Thank you, Minecraft.

There are always more caves to explore, mountains to conquer, and vistas to be admired. And have castles built on.

I dug a tunnel. Again. Still? Anyway, I kept digging things. My plan is to just keep mining until I have no room to put the resources I have and then I will look into building something a bit fancier than Casa de Lanky

.......and have my creations admired.
I've been pretty consistently playing minecraft since alpha, so I've had time to develop building techniques and interesting aesthetic features.
I'm always learning though, and borrow some designs from real-world castles and awesome stuff other minecrafters have built. Slightly modified to my tastes, of course.

I always find i'm more engaged and build more interesting things if i'm playing on a server with others.
It drives me on, knowing others will see it.
