Slimes are going to start spawning in swamps.

Now, how to get them to stop spawning in Spawn...

Maybe, if they now spawn in swamps, they won't care about spawning at Spawn.

This is a great new development. I was just wondering about how the heck to find slimes. I never see them and it would be nice to actually have some sticky pistons to use.

Check out the farm and animal level at spawn. They're all over. Also, there are a few stacks of slimeballs near the beginning of the misc. hall in the storage area. You can take all the slimeballs you want.

One man's byproduct slaughtering the vermin terrorizing his crops is another man's treasure.

Slimes spawn on gravel and in swamp, but the locations are randomly chosen when the map is created.
If they spawn at spawn now, they always will. That's a chunk where the map has decided they will always spawn.
It's good and bad.

At least we'll always have a place to collect slime.
