Words With Friends (Mobile)
« on: March 09, 2011, 06:33:27 AM »
You bastards played Scramble without me?

I think we need a lankyland game with push - maybe a scrabble or some variant that's driod and Fone friendly, open for all who can durp?

I forgot about Scramble. Did it go away?

Currently, I play Word With Friends. I know it's on iPhone and Android. No idea if you can play on PC. My user name is aane0019. I only have like 6 games going right now. Come play!

It doesn’t look like you can play on the PC…
LOL @ Pam... if I had $20 for every time someone used that word with me... well....

I'd probably have like $60

A little over 100. I opened up with "bovine" then I played "furious" with the "s" pluralizing bovine, hitting a few double letter and double word spaces, and using all my tiles. It was pretty magical.

It is. It's just a variation of inflame...it counts.

I didn't know gobbed was a word.
I asked my sister "WTF is gobbed?"
"I don't know, but it worked. Apparently it's the past tense of gob."
"Oh yeah, silly me. Who doesn't love to gob?"

Exactly! I played Words With Friends with someone on their iPhone last night and they were allowed to place “yous” but I wasn’t allowed to place “pho”.

I'm not playing you. Your vocabulary is more extensive than mine, and it's my job to spank you. If we change it up, life won't make sense anymore...and you can suck it.

Your interest has been noted and will remain on file.

^ that's exactly what I was going to post.  I only like games where I can win, and I'm not going to win against a word nerd who opens with "bovine".

^Oh yeah.  That too.  And I don't want one either.  I like paying attention to the things I'm at instead of being on facebook letting everyone know where I'm at and which band I'm currently paying between $12 and $40 to ignore.

Doesn't Facebook Places automatically update your current location? You don't need to ignore bands anymore and people will still know how awesome you are!

So what are all these people doing on their iPhones at gigs?  I look out at a sea of those little screens that weren't there before the rise of the iPhone.  Texting to the left of me, facebook to the right.  Here I am, stuck in the middle with goo.

I had this game. And then they cracked down on me because I had the pirated, NON ad supported version I'm supposed to pay $ for?

Screw you, WWF.
I used to think piracy was bad, because I first heard about it by people who didn't understand it. I understand piracy now. Piracy is good.

The first victory goes to me -- by default.  Did you know about the updated rules Superman?  If you don't play a word within so many days it auto-resigns you.  Which I find to be unnecessary.

For anyone curious, here's the game at the end.

My phone's been acting up and I tried to do a hard reset to fix it (nope, it's hardware). I was being lazy about loading programs back in because I have a new one coming anyway. My girlfriend just reminded me today that games just forfeit after a while. I must have been right on the cusp, because I only lost about half my games.

Anyway. Good game. You had some awesome plays. I only had a V, X, and T left, so you might have pulled ahead anyway.

*edit*

Oh, you have Q and J. Ha!

I was staring at the board for awhile thinking, "Okay, how can I use these all in one word? Hmm, nope I'm screwed."

Yeah if I had a new phone coming I wouldn't re-load programs either.

You can start a rematch when you feel like it/have your new phone.  Might give me time to look up words that have Q,J,K and E in them.

I actually just got it yesterday. I guess that two extra dollars a month they started charging for the insurance actually went for something. That was damn fast.

Also, it wasn't the phone, it really was the memory card. *shrug* new phone. Now I just have to get Hades to send me my other memory card back.

I'm getting this guy set up. I'll download the game again here on my break.

You made that many posts in such a short time on your phone?  Your fingers must be magic, or you have a nice phone.
