Prototype (PC, PS3, Xbox 360)
« on: June 14, 2009, 16:23:08 PM »
:win: :win: :win: :win: :win: :win: :win: For this game I say...

To me it's a bit like Assassin's Creed, GTA, and pick a zombie/viral infection movie and put that altogether into a game.. You have Prototype.

Lots of fun :-D   You are based in New York, and you have free roam of the city between missions.. Able to kill whoever you want with your viral powers.. You basically can morph your arms into a variety of weapons to hack, slash or smash anything in your way. Story line seems pretty good so far... a little disjointed at times, But it has potential to make an interesting movie if they flesh out the story a bit more....

So that whole shapeshifting ability I heard about, that's just for the arm?

Weapon wise it's just fr the arms yes.. But you can upgrade your sprinting speed, how high you jump and how you consume people.. So it technically affects your whole body.. Eg: you can sneak behind someone and consume/kill them without anyone else noticing... Great when you are infiltrating an army base...

Also when you consume someone, you take their identity, making a disguise for you to use to sneak around or evade the military.. Quite fun :-)

I used to think piracy was bad, because I first heard about it by people who didn't understand it. I understand piracy now. Piracy is good.

Prototype is now finished... It is a relatively short game, but hugely enjoyable...

You get to free roam after the storyline is completed, so you can do the whole GTA thing of finding all of the collectables...

Yeah I can see how it would be relatively short if you do mission after mission... I usually run around between missions, look for web of intrigue people, find location markers do the events, etc... It all gives extra EP to get upgrades with.. :-)

I completed the Web of Intrigue but nothing really special happened to commend this...

I am still looking for half the hints, and 80 odd landmarks...

Yeah that's basically how I started, friend of mine linked me to his halo review, then I went back and watched all of them. Pure win!  :win:
