EB Games Hornsby
« on: September 08, 2008, 13:54:50 PM »
um... it's empty and closed and there's no note explaining.  Am I right in thinking I no longer live in walking distance to an EB Games?   First Japan City and now this.   **shakes head**

News to me, too.
Only you would bring up Music Man here.  ...and have it be totally relevant.

Renovations as far as I am aware.
Don't go to EB games anyway, I get all my games from JB Hi-Fi for cost price...only suckers pay full price for shit these days.

I am going with renovations... otherwise there probably would have been a closing down sale...

Most weekends it is pretty packed (full of mothers with filthy whining children)...

You can blame Westfield for that. As a part of all store leases the shopfront must change design every three years(or maybe 5...), apparently to stop the look going stale. In reality it's just another little way to keep the small businesses out - renovations are expensive.

So is your mum?
Also anything from EB is also over-priced out the arse anyway, so I suppose they can afford random renovations.

I don't go there to buy things all the time, and it's good for price comparison because sometimes there is a 2nd hand game that JB doesn't have or is charging more for.

JB isn't that great.  Their DVDs are quite expensive. I only buy anime from there when that other DVD store is lacking the episodes I want and I can't wait any longer.

Ah well DVDs are a different matter, I can get cost price on pretty much any hardware I want from JB, however the bitch who runs the DVD section doesn't like giving cost price, even to staff members, let alone friends of staff members, so I don't really buy DVDs there.

Also, it's confirmed it is renovations. Was there the other day, and there was a sign saying "New and improved EB coming soon" or some shite like that.
