Decisions! Decisions!
« on: October 08, 2009, 08:21:37 AM »
My xbox360 has caught the RROD again and I can't be arsed to fix it. So it is time to think replacement. It has lasted well considering I had it from the UK release date. It wasn't one of these that died a few weeks after getting it. Now should I get a new xbox360 or jump ship and get a shiny new PS2 Slim?

Difficulty: I have a Mass Effect save game and I *really* want to play Mass Effect 2.

Now to get either one I am going to have to ebay my Nintendo DSi so I'm a bit vexed already.

Suggestions?

I've been thinking that if I upgrade from my PS2 and Xbox combo I'll go for a PS3 for stability but I would go for an Xbox 360 just to get Halo 3.

Hmm what to do.

I'm happy with my PS2 and have nightmares about it dying, but I'm pretty sure that's because I don't have enough time to game anymore.  I'm sad about that, but far better off financially. And socially.  And emotionally.  And mentally.  Except for all those things, I really miss it.

Well I had to trade in DSi to do it but ended up getting a nice new Xbox 360 Elite. Luckily I'd got bored of Scribblenauts anyway. Got Halo: ODST and Fifa 10 with it for £200. Thanks to the trade in of the DSi and a few old 360 games I only paid £60 for it. Still now I have 3 new games to play and I can once more watch all my downloaded TV on my Television without hooking up my netbook.

And thanks everyone you were all no help at all.  :P

ODST is a pretty good game actually.... I enjoyed playing it.... Bit short on the storyline side of things though.

I've always been an xbox man, so I stick with that.. Mind you I am on my 3rd 360 because the other 2 RROD'd on me.. But they were under warranty so can't complain.

Apparently Fifa 10 is awesome if you like sport games.
I just lost the game....

I heard ODST is good but a little short. As for Fifa 10 it was that or some game I never heard of so I got Fifa. I don't really have any intention to play it. I'll probably part exchange it or sell it on ebay. To be honest I gave up on football games after 'Sensible Soccer'. Only 'Kick Off 2' before it was better and nothing since has even come close. All these fancy graphics chips and advanced controllers with a host of buttons and they still can't make a football game more fun than a 90s 16 bit title that you played with a 2 button joystick. Sad. Lucikly my 120GB xbox360 hard drive came with 'Sensible Soccer' pre-installed. Yay! Now get off my lawn you young rascals.

Yay for pre-installed stuff :-D

And yes ODST is rather short... Still, it's good while you're playing it...

Sad to say I am a big Guitar Hero fan.... So i just play that most of the time.. Or Prototype. GH5 has some good games on it :-D
