I have it for GBA packaged with Golden Ax and Echo.

I also head that it's downloadable for Wii.

Hmm.  I never cared for Altered Beast.  Maybe I need to give it another shot.

How much could it cost on Wii?  A few bucks?

2000 wii points is equivalent to A$35, US$20 and £14.99 in the UK.

Also, the woman has currently stolen my box for WoWing, so when (if) I get it back, I'll check that rom status for you lanky.

Went to get Altered Beast last night. Says something about not being compatible with AV Connectors. Anyone know what that means?

$8?  Eh.  I wonder how involved their port process is.  Might be a fair price.

On your wii? Did it say that before or after you had paid for it? What cable currently connects your wii to your display device? What is said device?

Haven't bought it, displayed message before purchase. I current use the Red, Yellow, White cables to plug it into my telly. Hence the hesitation before purchase. Also a lot of reviews suggest having a gamecube controller which I don't currently have.

I suggest you just not buy it on your wii, and I will send you the rom and emulator when I get home. I played it again not too long ago, thinking about how I really liked it ages ago, turned out it wasn't as good as I remembered, so no point wasting 800 wii points for the same feeling. I'll send it to you then if you really want to you can buy it.

I used to think piracy was bad, because I first heard about it by people who didn't understand it. I understand piracy now. Piracy is good.

I just bought the Sega Mega Drive collection on 360 (pretty sure it's on PS3 and Wii too) Which has all the old classics like Altered Beast and Golden Axe etc.... Well worth the buy.. was only about $25
I just lost the game....

I have a disc for PS2 that came with Altered Beast, Golden Axe, Sonic, and Echo.  If I ever bought a Wii it would be to play games like that.

I went to a Swap Meet (Flea Market) yesterday, they were selling Mega Drives, N64s, Gameboys and all sorts of old school consoles. It was pretty neat.

Nice. I scored a copy of Star Fox 2 (unreleased in the US). I just need an emulator now....
