Age of Empires Online (PC)
« on: August 20, 2010, 19:44:20 PM »
Microsoft is releasing an Age of Empires MMORPG-style game.

I've just signed up to the beta, once accepted I will be able to rant or rave about it here.

Participation Requirements:

The minimum age to register for the Beta in Microsoft Connect is 18. The Beta is English-only, offered in North American and European regions.

Can we sign up, lanky?

I'm also nervous as to what Age it is set in. I wouldn't like it to progress to anything more modern then say, 1700. Guns and cannon are cool and all that, but warfare totally changed with its widespread use.
Only you would bring up Music Man here.  ...and have it be totally relevant.

Yeah, suddenly the little guy (with the machine gun) gets to be boss.
I used to think piracy was bad, because I first heard about it by people who didn't understand it. I understand piracy now. Piracy is good.

But, but... you're not in any North American and European regions. Or do you have regions that I don't know about?
LOL @ Pam... if I had $20 for every time someone used that word with me... well....

I'd probably have like $60

Yeah, that was how I downloaded GTA2 from Rockstar :] See, telling people that you're an American still counts for something these days.

Have you played any of the Age of Empire/Age of Mythology games? What did you think? I tried the Age of Mythology demo but couldn't get into it..
