the old forum had been modded so much that it ended up breaking everything and i couldnt port it to this new system.

It truly is, much easier to manage and it is much easier to mod without breaking. Also, including the forum in other parts of lankyland is much easier.

And in terms of downright usability by plebs I'd rate it as better then phpbb. That may be the mods but the interface and layout are also simple and still practical.
